Built based on the Open Hydro’s guideline
Developed through a global, multi-stakeholder development process that started in October 2021 and culminated at COP27. Stakeholders include participants from diverse geographies and areas of expertise, including hydropower utilities, financiers, research, and intergovernmental and governmental stakeholders.
Open Hydro launched the first guideline for climate mitigation reporting for hydropower asset owners and developers.
The guideline provides the much-needed clarity to report emissions, climate mitigation actions and analyse the mitigation risks and opportunities.
