Bluemethane and Open Hydro sign a Memorandum of Understanding

We are excited to announce the collaboration between Bluemethane and Open Hydro to develop and pilot new innovative mechanisms to mobilise private investment into methane removal from hydropower reservoirs. Methane removal is a powerful strategy to reduce global warming and create a new source of power from biofuel.

Bluemethane and Open Hydro join forces to promote novel climate-related reporting to incentivise methane assessment and capture in hydropower reservoir projects and unlock investment for hydropower climate change mitigation action.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is the outcome of our shared vision for a zero carbon planet and step forward in mobilising sustainable investment to help reduce methane emissions from hydropower reservoirs.
